Welcome to Victorian Magazines (VicMag)! This site coordinates and compiles information on little-known Victorian magazines, newpapers, and other types of periodicals. Since a research site is only as good as the data it contains, please let us know if the information listed here is incorrect. This web site grew out of a project for Dr. Sally Mitchell's "Studies in Victorian Prose: Imperial Attitudes" graduate seminar at Temple University. Asked to find copies of Victorian missionary magazines, we (April Logan & Rachel Bright) quickly found the task daunting. We hope that this web site becomes a valuable resource for examining missionary magazines and other magazines that are less-well known.
